Maze Royale - Endless Runner

Maze Royale is a game of chases in mazes (in the purest Pac-Man style) where your hero finds himself trapped inside a mysterious dungeon, along with a series of monsters that want to eat him. Your goal, of course, is to run away from all the enemies while trying to collect as many coins as possible. If you manage to get all the coins, you'll win the game.

The controls in Maze Royale are simple. You can control your hero's movements by simply touching and sliding your finger around on the virtual joystick. Alternatively, you can simply slide your finger in the direction you want to run. In either case, the controls feel natural and precise, which is important for a game like this. After all, even the littlest mistake can doom your character to be eaten by a hungry treasure chest with teeth.

As if dodging all the enemies that inhabit the mazes in Maze Royale weren't enough, throughout the game it'll also rain fireballs. Red indicators will show you where the balls are going to fall in the next few seconds, so you'll have to stay on your toes to make sure they don't fall on you. Luckily, like what happens in other titles of the genre, sometimes you'll find some stars inside the maze. These will make your character grow, become invincible and be able to destroy the enemies.

One really fun thing about Maze Royale is that it has an additional game mode inspired by the classic puzzle game Sokoban. In this game mode your goal is to push boxes to different points of the setting, being careful not to block any path with your own movements. To play these special levels, you'll need to unlock some keys that you can only get by playing the maze mode.

Maze Royale is an incredibly fun title, which basically offers two games in one, with a good dose of arcade and puzzles. All this with nice graphics and with a lot of additional characters and settings to unlock.
